On behalf of our chapter, it is my privilege and honor to extend a warm welcome to you. As members of this distinguished fraternity, we are a collective of professional, dedicated, and diverse men, each formally educated and unwaveringly committed to our noble objective: Achievement in every field of human endeavor. Our chapter proudly upholds the legacy and values of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, which has been a beacon of excellence and service for over a century.

This enduring commitment to excellence is deeply embedded in the history of the Hampton-Newport News Alumni Chapter, established on August 4, 1945. Originally chartered as the Hampton Alumni Chapter, our journey began with 17 dedicated founding members, each contributing to the strong foundation upon which our chapter was built. On September 1, 1979, our name was officially changed to the Hampton-Newport News Alumni Chapter, reflecting our growing influence and expanded dedication to the Hampton Roads community.

About us

The Hampton-Newport News (VA) Alumni Chapter is deeply involved in the community in both Hampton and Newport News. We support our youth through our Guide Right program initiative, oversee and advise the collegiate chapter Beta Chi at Hampton University along with Xi Theta at The College of William and Mary and colony at Christopher Newport University. We give back to the community through and in conjunction with our charitable foundation by giving scholarships and performing acts of charitable service in the area Hampton and Newport News areas.
